Misti Amber Rose

I've Found A New Home!!

Misti Amber Rose

Misti Amber Rose is a beautifully trained Comar Bay Brummel granddaughter that had belonged to a loving family before she showed up at the feedlot. She had been moved to a new training barn, where the family was persuaded to trade her for another horse the owner had available. They were told Amber had gone to a good home, so they were understandably shocked when they found out she had been run through a low-end auction where the horses frequently sold for meat.

Amber initially went to live in the loving home of Bonnie Frazier in Nevada. While she was living with Bonnie, Nancy Minix of Kentucky fell in love with her, and the decision was made for Amber to embark for the Bluegrass State and a new career in western and hunter pleasure! She recently went to her first show with one of Nancy's students, Erin Hall, with whom she has formed a special bond. This was Erin's first show, and her first time with Arabians, and they did beautifully together. Amber made her new family very proud and won another heart for the breed. Nancy says, "Amber is a special mare and we are lucky to have her here with us. She has enriched our lives and we enjoy sharing the happiness she brings us." Its hard to believe this wonderful mare, who has become an ambassador of the breed for at least one young girl, was nearly lost to slaughter.
