| This is Salim--he did not come from the feedlot. I received a call telling me some folks had just bought ll horses from a quick estate dispersal, and one was a 17 year old stallion who had just been gelded. He was still acting quite studly and the only person interested in buying him was someone who would 'yahoo' him -- I had money in the rescue account and went to get him. The first few days I thought I had just bitten off more than I could chew, but within a week he turned into a gentle, sweet boy. He is now owned by AOLer Diane Ekern of Brideshead Arabians, Illinois, and is shown here enjoying a trail ride with her daughter Jordan, in the beautiful country surrounding their home. |
